Taking the time to be polite..

As we all are very busy with multiple errands we want to complete “yesterday”, we often get caught up in our duties and forget to be nice not only to the people around but even to ourselves. We rush through our daily rituals, react irritably, get infuriated with the traffic, become severely frustrated with the slow line at the supermarket, and so on.
.
“Damn, can this be a little faster, can you just pay already?” “No, buddy, you are not getting in front of me in this stupid traffic”, “Why is she walking so slow, she’s gotta be too old to even get out of her house”.
.
When we get so caught up in the midst of the everyday madness, those unconsciously dropped phrases inside of our mind look harmless… And maybe even justifiable, since these people REALLY get in our way. But is it really that harmless?
.
It all starts with our thoughts, then few small phrases create the whole belief system and we may end up being neurotic, people-hating wrecks, who are obsessed with getting their shit done no matter of the natural flow of life and others around. If those beliefs and attitudes run wild, we can become a nasty and disrespectful individuals in, literally, no time.
.
Making a conscious effort to not get frustrated, neurotic or mad at the processes around us is hard… But if we just make that happen, trust, we will feel much better and even proud of ourselves by the end of the day. What’s running inside of our head will ultimately surround us and bring more to be stressed or not to be stressed about. The choice is ours. Plus, it’s always good to remain classy in any situation, that’s what integrity and grace are all about.
.

And, I love you!
